Frame/Body:
The frame is composed of longitudinal and transverse rectangular aluminum tubes assembled using high strength steel rivets. The frame provides an uninterrupted mounting area 86" long x 56" wide. 5" wide aluminum angles are attached to the front and rear tubes, extending the usable length to 96" for a width of 20" on each side of the trailer centerline. There are five load bearing cross members for attachment of the payload.

Suspension:
The trailer features and independent trailing arm suspension with HMMWV compatible shocks absorbers, with 16” of ground clearance when fully loaded at 4200 lbs. GVW (20” when unladen) measured at the trailer centerline. Axle load capacity is 4200 lbs. The brake hubs feature submersible watertight grease seals.

Tiedown/Sling:
Four multi-purpose steel sling/tiedown provisions with pivoting shackles are provided at the end of the frame longitudinals. These serve as slings for helicopter transport and crane lifting and as tiedowns for rail transport.

Brakes:
Free backing hydraulic actuated surge brake with automatic trailer breakaway actuation. Right and left mechanical parking brakes are independently actuated.

Tires/Wheels:
Goodyear 37 x 12/5 R 16.5 Radial Mud Terrain with rubber runflat inserts.

Jack:
A crank jack with solid steel caster wheel is provided on the left hand side of the drawbar.

Stabilizers:
Pin adjustable stabilizers are provided. The stabilizers attach to the rear of the trailer to prevent trailer movement when stationary.

Finish:
Excellent corrosion protection is provided by the electrostatic deposited primer (MIL-P-53084) and a green 383 CARC topcoat is standard.

Markings:
An identification and shipping data plate is supplied. Tiedown and lift locations are identified.
